I'm very excited to share that I recently wrapped a solid ten days recording songs for my upcoming album at Revolver Recordings in Thousand Oaks, CA and feel so deeply grateful to have had the incredible craftsmanship of so many talented artists on this project.
The care and creativity of everyone involved made this a truly joyful and transcendent experience for me. I especially want to thank producer Mikal Blue (Colbie Caillat, Jason Mraz, Onerepublic), who believed in me and the songs when others just didn't get what I wanted to say and express. An artist and songwriter himself, he really grokked it, and I am grateful beyond words.
Deep thanks as well to my dear friend and co-writer, Alan Roy Scott (Celine Dion, Ray Charles, Luther Vandross), and to musical arranger/bassist/B3 badass Dean Dinning of Toad the Wet Sprocket, drummer extraordinaire Gregg Bissonette (Ringo Starr, Santana, David Lee Roth), guitarist Dalton Cyr (legend in the making), and of course, the trusty interns -- Jordan, Alex, Pete, and Jesse who kept bringing the good vibes all day long.
We still have a ways to go to completing the album, but the first three songs are in the can, including 'Emotion Tide', which I recorded in Woodstock, NY at Dreamland Studios earlier this year with Jerry Marotta and my dear friend and co-writer Derek Olivero.
So excited for what is to come...
