The Invitation - Aliza Hava - Tiny Desk Contest 2020
Life in the "new normal" has been challenging on so many levels, but it's inspiring to see so many people coming together to help others with acts of kindness, both large and small. Just staying home has become an act of kindness, and has presented the world with an opportunity to take account of what matters most. We have no choice but to delve deep into our inner resources to gather the strength and courage to deal with the challenges we face now, and the ones we will face in the months ahead.
This is the inspiration for my new song, The Invitation. It's a song of hope and transformation that beckons us to reflect upon our past, learn from our mistakes, and become our best selves so we can create a better future for all. I hope you enjoy it. The video was recorded in my home as an entry for NPR's Tiny Desk Contest.
