Musician's BASS for the Win!

Musician's BASS

Two years ago I had an idea for a platform that would help independent musicians manage their careers more effectively. After using many of the tools that are currently available for indie artists, I realized that most of what's currently out there falls short of what's actually needed to effectively manage my own workflow. Talking with other musicians, I discovered that most of the artists I know struggle with the same exact challenges. It took a while for me to wrap my head and heart around the idea of starting my own music-tech company, but it had to happen. Enter Musician's BASS, a business management solution for indie artists that helps us market, monetize, and manage our careers more effectively.

I'm grateful to say that BASS just took home the Grand Prize in the Monterey Startup Challenge, hosted by the California University of Monterey Bay! Out of 83 companies that pitched in the Venture division, we made it through 3 rounds to take home the top award for "Excellence in Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Commercialization." We will be using the prize money to launch our first feature later this summer. Indie musicians, please sign up for our beta at www.musiciansbass.com.
